CharitiesEvaluationServices
Charities Evaluation Services (CES) is the UK's leading provider of support to the third sector on evaluation and quality. An independent charity, CES has been helping organisations be more effective since 1990, when it was set up to support the development of evaluation in the voluntary sector. CES now provides training, advice and technical help to thousands of organisations every year on both quality and evaluation. CES consultants also carry out relevant research and external evaluations.
CES produces PQASSO, the leading quality assurance system designed specifically for the voluntary and community sector, and in 2008 launched the PQASSO Quality Mark, offering organisations the opportunity to be externally assessed. CES also produces a range of plain English publications on quality and monitoring and evaluation.
CES' publications include:
- Practical Monitoring and Evaluation: a Guide for Voluntary Organisations
- Your Project and Its Outcomes
- First Steps in Quality
- Performance Improvement: a Handbook for Mentors for the Performance Hub.
CES has recently published a major research report on Accountability and Learning: Developing Monitoring and Evaluation in the Third Sector.
