It considers widely-used approaches to monitoring and evaluation including CES’ indicator-based approach to self-evaluation. Participants will explore various aspects of the monitoring and evaluation process including: setting good evaluation questions, choosing tools for collecting information and good practice in collecting and analysing monitoring information. Different approaches to making the economic case for the value of your work will be explored, including value-for-money and Social Return on Investment. This course is intensive and will cover substantial content in depth using case studies both to illustrate learning points as well as to enable participants to practise various tools and techniques in data collection and analysis.
