Those who have attended the level one course ‘training your volunteer mentors’ or ‘training your volunteer befrienders’ or those who deliver training and are ready for a new challenge or want to increase their training knowledge. |
The aim of this course is:
To improve the skills and knowledge of the people responsible for training mentors and befrienders and give them the confidence to develop the training they currently do with their own volunteers.
This course will help you to:
- Understand how your personal training style impacts on training planning and delivery
- Adopt a facilitation style to engage your learners
- Write and develop training modules based on the training needs of your volunteers
- Create and manage a safe and effective learning environment and manage disruptive behaviours
