Overview

What should chief executives make of this apparent new wave of change? Is there really a case for restructuring of the sector, for a radical change to your own organisation?

This seminar is designed to look critically and strategically at what collaboration in its many forms means to small, medium and large organisations. It will offer a studied overview of what might be possible with new types of collaboration, the building of partnerships or the various types of mergers for organisations. It will guide participants through a series of questions that are essential when faced with the apparent pull of these solutions.

Topics Covered

The session is part of an ACEVO project aimed at ensuring this debate is rooted in good evidence, systematic analysis and capacity building. It is an opportunity to step away from the pressures and problems that can confront when there is even a whiff that mergers or new partnerships are on the agenda.

The sessions will be a mix of presentation of the array of different forms of collaboration through to the merger option. It will allow you to discuss with other leaders the implications of considering these as strategic choices.

It will not produce your strategy but it will help you understand and make sense of what collaboration could offer.

Learning Outcomes

  • A mix of presentation of the array of different forms of collaboration through to the merger option
  • Help give a clear understanding and make sense of what collaborations could offer.
  • Are collaborations as a potentially effective route to meeting changing circumstances
