Ben will be looking at the ethical issues surrounding the use of vulnerable spokespeople, as well as talking about media training, protection and legal issues.

Emma Halls, CEO, Prostate Cancer Research Foundation

In June 2007 the Prostate Cancer Research Foundation launched ‘Give a few bob’– a widely acclaimed, integrated campaign. The campaign starred the late comedian Bob Monkhouse, which saw him brought back to life through a short film aired UK wide at VUE cinemas as well as on badges sold in WH Smiths, posters and their website. Clear Channel donated 7,000 outdoor poster sites nationwide and CBS media donated advertising sites in tube trains and taxis. It is estimated that the media exposure the campaign received for free was worth over £3 million.

Emma Halls will explain where the campaign came from, why it has been so successful, what impact it’s had and how far it has gone in meeting their over-all objectives and aims. She will also talk about getting pro-bono work for your charity.

Rob is the creator of the Facebook Third Sector PR and Communications Network and recently made it into JustGiving's top 25 UK charity tweeters. His facebook group now has over 1,040 members and has a combined Twitter following of 2005.

Rob will be giving delegates his top tips for making the most of social media, including how to find your voice on Twitter, and how to keep people engaged.
