This event is aimed at practitioners with existing experience of engaging diverse groups in environmental projects and looking to develop their skills further. It will offer practical tools and knowledge to work more effectively with black and minority ethnic groups, and will focus on strategies for overcoming challenges and apathy in those communities through understanding the psychology of the excluded. Projects and case studies will be used to demonstrate models of good practice and consideration of the wider issue of balancing organisational outputs with the needs of the community.
