A hung parliament, a coalition government, political reform, staff cuts to the civil service and local/regional public sector, and budget cuts across government - all are likely to make influencing public policy more difficult, and more important. These are going to be testing times for all sectors and as third sector leaders we're going to need to be better than ever at engaging effectively with officials and politicians.
