Health and Safety in the Workplace (CIEH accredited)

This training is designed to give learners the required knowledge and skills to be health and safety aware and to carry out risk assessments of their environments. The course includes a short exam and is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) at Level 2.

This session will help you to:

  • Understand Health and Safety legislation
  • Be aware of accidents and ill health - their causes and prevention
  • Know risk assessment and first aid at work
  • Be familiar with personal protective equipment and safety in the workplace
  • Be aware of work equipment, electricity and fire prevention
  • Understand occupational health, health hazards and hazardous substances
  • Have knowledge of ergonomics and workstation design, manual handling and noise and vibration

This course will be repeated on 24 March and also on 13 July 2011.
