Who These workshops fill up quickly and priority places are given to those individuals who are new to campaigning and need support in developing their campaign/issue further. Please note these workshops are not for experienced campaigners.

  • Do you want to influence decisions made by the council, UK government, the health service or other bodies that affect your community?
  • Have you started to campaign for change and want advice on how to get to the next level?
  • If so, the SMK Introduction to Campaigning workshop is for you.

The day will provide

  • Insight into the successful features of a campaign
  • Sessions on the key steps in planning a campaign.
  • An opportunity to consult experts such as experienced campaigners, MPs and journalists on how to put your ideas into practice and what tactics have the most impact.

This introductory level campaign workshop is for individuals and voluntary organisations and will be held on Friday 24th September at the Quarterhouse, Tontine Street, Folkestone, Kent, CT20 1JT, from 9.30 am – 4.30 pm.
