Introduction to Mediation Skills
Posted by VoluntaryActionSheffield
Mediation is the art of facilitating a dialogue between two (or more) disputants so that they are able to reach a mutually acceptable settlement. Communication, conflict management and negotiation skills are embedded in the mediator's role. Mediation is appropriate in a broad range of contexts including neighbour disputes, workplace conflicts, victim-offender reparation and within schools.
