Looking at impact in an adult social care setting

The adult social care sector has unique opportunities and challenges, including increasing needs, the personalisation agenda, greater use of payment by results  and, frequently, outdated infrastructure.  Now, more than ever, charities in this sector need to be able to demonstrate to funders and donors the impact of their interventions and the return on investment they provide.

This session aims to look at:

  • Different ways of measuring outcomes and assessing the impact of work in the adult social care setting;
  • How social care charities can use data and other performance related information to make informed decisions about the future use of funds and resources;
  • Keeping up with changing times.

Delegates will be given the opportunity to pose questions to the speaker’s panel following short presentations.  This seminar will be useful to any organisations that deliver services within an adult social care setting and are interested in developing their approach to monitoring, evaluation and strategy.

The panel:

  • David Pritchard, Head of Measurement and Evaluation at NPC - David will be discussing some of the options available when approaching measurement or outcomes in the adult social care sector.
  • David McCullough, Chief Executive at WRVS - David McCullough will be talking about the experiences of WRVS, an organisation with an innovative approach to incorporating impact measurement into their strategy
