Enhance your events, planning and research activities using a range of participatory tools proven to inspire and engage your organisation’s staff or groups you work with. Targeted to the specific needs of the participants on the day, this event will focus on developing the skills and confidence you need to really engage with the people you are working with. It will enable you to make the most of people’s ideas and expertise, to plan and deliver events/programmes that are appropriate, and to ensure group members, staff and clients feel actively involved in your work. From event planning to running meetings, you will develop, through experience, a toolkit of activities, methods and tips for maximising the benefits of participation, while recognising the pitfalls.
The event is designed for anyone working in the voluntary, community or public sectors with a remit for communication with, or for planning events involving staff, members, clients and networks. No previous experience of participatory methods is required, nor any specific skills.
