The aim of this course is:

To provide you with specialist guidance on what is meant by personal safety within mentoring and befriending and to help you learn how to put into place robust systems to ensure the personal safety of your participants.

 

This course will help you to:

  • Understand the law regarding personal safety
  • Relate MBF’s best practice guidelines to your specific project
  • Implement personal safety risk assessments in relation to clients, volunteers and staff
  • Demonstrate how to undertake ‘on the spot’ personal risk assessment
  • Explain how to diffuse aggressive behaviour
