New 3-Day Accredited Course

 

25th April, 9th May, 23rd May 2012, 10 am - 4.15 pm

Lakeside Arts Centre, Nottingham

 

Artswork is pleased to be delivering the new three-day accredited course –‘Working with Young People in the Youth, Arts and Cultural Sectors’ in partnership with Lakeside Arts Centre in Nottingham.

 

This new practical and creative course is accredited with 7 credits at Level 3 with the awarding body ABC and is suitable for anyone working with young people in the youth, arts and cultural sectors. The course aims to help participants gain confidence as well as all of the relevant information, tools and techniques to work effectively with young people, especially those from hard to reach groups, whilst promoting best practice.

 

The course covers three main areas:

-          Using the Arts with Young People at Risk

-          Child Protection and Safeguarding

-          Behaviour Management

 

There is also an element of reflective practice which runs throughout the course.

 

Alongside attending the three course days, to gain the accreditation, participants will be asked to complete a portfolio of work that reflects their learning and applies it to their own working practice (20 guided independent learning hours).

 

The fees for this course, including refreshments, lunch, resources, accreditation and certification range from £345-£395. There is one bursary place available. Members of ENYAN can request 10% discount off the course fee.
