Subject: Need a venue for an event

I am holding a fundraising event for my charity in Nov/Dec and I am looking for a venue. Any ideas of how to go about finding one and getting one for free?

Hi there SKR, can you give a bit more information about where you are in the country and what size / what function of venue you need (ie something with a music licence, that can do food etc).

We are based in South London/Surrey. We are hoping to have about 100 people for a sit down dinner and variety show entertainment. I have done some research but lots of places are VERY expensive! How can I find one for free/cheap?!
