Two experienced direct marketers share their experience.

Mahmood Hassan, Founder and Chairman of Islamic Aid talked about his experience of building one of the most cost effective direct mail fundraising operations in the charity sector. He spoke as part of the series of Charity Talks at the Centre for Charity Effectiveness (CCE) on 25 March 2009.

Mahmood Hassan founded Islamic Aid with an investment of £6000, and has since recruited over 54,000 donors and raised over £12 million.

Stephen Pidgeon is a trustee of the Institute of Fundraising and expert in direct marketing for charities.
