CloseNews and updates for small charities to celebrate Small Charity Week
Dear friend of KnowHow,
As we're in the middle of Small Charity Week 2011, we've pulled together some of our most recent resources aimed at small charities. KnowHow was created to support small organisations so all of our materials are created with you in mind. Here are some recent additions.
How-to guides
Here are a selection of our favourite how-to guides written for or by small charities:
- How small charities can maximise regular donations.
- How to secure pro bono design services.
- How to raise funds and keep costs down for a small theatre company.
- How to set up a cashflow forecast in a spreadsheet.
Do you have knowledge to share? If so, why not write or edit a how-to guide? If you need to do something and there's not a guide, request one! See all how-to guides.
StudyZone courses
Our StudyZone courses are practical, relevant and affordable. These three are particularly useful for small organisations who are new to these topics:
Campaigns presentation
Last week Madeleine and Damien presented at the Third Sector Digital Communications and Social Media Convention (nfpsm) as part of the small charities stream. We've uploaded their talk to Slideshare so you can use it too.
They use examples of recent campaigns run by large and small charities to show how organisations such as Greenpeace, Chance UK and the Craftivists Collective use social media to encourage change, involvement and fundraising. The presentation shares six tips to maximise your campaign.
