Leaders exist at all levels in every organisation. Each of us has a responsibility to provide leadership to colleagues to ensure we maximise impact.
Leadership can take many forms in the nonprofit sector. Thought leaders challenge our understanding and build links across the sector, extending our reach and bringing new solutions to social issues.
Within organisations, trustee boards and management committees provide overall direction and accountability. In larger organisations senior management teams provide both leadership and management (and there is a difference between the two).
