About Joan
Joan joined Age Aid as the Chief Executive in October 2008.
She was attracted to the organisation as she had a personal interest in the cause. She had recently had to find support for her father who was increasingly frail but refused to move from the family home. She is passionate about offering innovative support to older people to enable them to remain in their homes but receive the care they need and wants to introduce new services at Age Aid.
Joan's husband has a new job which requires him to travel away from home for one week a month and Joan finds it difficult to juggle her family and work life on those weeks that he is away. She has school-aged children.
