Profile of this fictional Millcaster charity.

Millcaster Aid to Africa (MAA) is a charity originally set up in 1994 to support Rwandan orphans and young victims of the genocide. It aims to provide a link between Millcaster and Masero, a small community in the north of Rwanda.

It has recently widened its remit to support the whole community across a range of issues including education, health and the alleviation of poverty. There is a thriving African community in Millcaster and the charity is well supported locally.

The fact that it aims to support a particular community gives focus to local fundraising. Many Millcaster supporters have direct links with Masero. There are plans to open a farm in Rwanda in 2009.
