About Marcus

Marcus became an actor in his late teens starring in some cutting edge films for television during the late 70’s. He was irresistable to the ladies and fast became a household name. He quickly gained a reputation for being a ‘bad boy’ as he liked to drink and became increasingly difficult to work with. He moved to Paris for a while and returned in the 80’s with a slightly larger belly, less hair and having learnt some lessons. For the next five years he appeared in a popular, light-hearted comedy series and gained a new generation of fans.

In 1993 Marcus moved to an old cottage near Millcaster with his partner, Jeanne. The roles which followed were poor versions of the same character so he decided to work in radio drama. In 1995 he saw that the local young people didn’t have much to do so set up a Saturday drama club to help engage them in something creative. Over the years his Millcaster Arts Society developed and eventually rebranded as MillcARTS in 2008.

He is bossy, determined and misses his celebrity status. He would love nothing better than an OBE for his contribution to the arts one day.
