The Trust Partnership releases Investment Manager guide for Charity trustees
Jul 06, 2010 by TheTrustPartnership
The Trust Partnership is releasing a new publication ‘How to choose your Investment Manager’.
All trustees should be aware of the requirement for them to review their investments and investment policy, big decisions often made with little help and inadequate information.
In the role of administrator, The Trust Partnership is often asked to help their clients review their investments and has produced this booklet to help trustees through this intimidating and confusing process.
Starting with an analysis of the current situation, How to choose your Investment Manager explains what steps need to be taken, the duties of the trustees, the treatment of risk and ethics, what needs to be done and what help is available. It includes simple profiles of many of the leading Investment Managers and helps Trustees with the questions they should ask and how to interpret the answers.
“Our aim is to help charitable trusts to be efficient, effective and economic,” says Alex Kininmonth, author of the guide, “and of course the level of available funds is the key driver in every area. We can’t guarantee the Trustees will find extraordinary returns, but we hope that they will sleep easily knowing they that they have done all they reasonably can to ensure that the funds in their charge are properly and rightly invested”
The Trust Partnership manages charitable trusts, providing personal and cost effective outsourced administration, accounting compliance, governance and grant management programs as well as supporting strategic and investment management reviews and other consultancy. Within the organization, TrustMT provides website, social marketing and internet services and TrustCSR is a corporate social responsibility consultant.
The publication is available to download free from The Trust Partnership website.
