Vacancy - Foundation Director, Stelios Philanthropic Foundation
Nov 04, 2008 by WEditor
Job vacancy at The Stelios Philanthropic Foundation
The Stelios Philanthropic Foundation will formalise and expand Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou's "giving back" efforts by fostering a new generation of entrepreneurs: young people who, thought business, will create value, jobs and opportunities for many others. With a first-rate business education and the Foundation’s support, Stelios Scholars and entrepreneurs will be well-prepared to develop new markets and foster entrepreneurship in their home countries of the United Kingdom, Monaco, Greece and Cyprus.
The Foundation will honour Stelios’ pledges of funding 10 scholarships per year at each of his alma mater universities: the London School of Economics and the Cass Business School, City University. In partnership with Leonard Cheshire, the UK based disability charity, The Stelios Award for Disabled Entrepreneurs will be awarded each year to encourage entrepreneurship and help remove the barriers disabled people face in starting businesses.
Based in Monaco, the Foundation is now seeking a director to help identify and support the next generation of entrepreneurs, help Stelios formulate other charitable giving and communicate the Foundation’s goals and successes to stakeholders across Europe.
