Hi we have just taken over a retail unit and converted it for use as a youth and commuity centre. We have obtained suitable planning permission. Howerver do we need to undertake any further building checks ? Are their specifications for maximum numbers of people, fire escape requirements etc etc. Does anyone know where could I find this information or get suitable advice.  Many thanks simon

Hi Simon

The quick answer is yes lots of Regs would apply !

Try visiting http://www.netregs.gov.uk/netregs/default.aspx or email info@approvedinspectors.org to contact an approved inspector
