Sorry to interrupt…

We are a charity website still in development and you could really help by telling us what you think of the site. Once you have had a chance to see the site, would you take part in a very short, confidential survey? You just have to click Launch Survey (it will open in a new window). Thank you very much.

During Foster Murphy’s career in the voluntary sector he has exercised the full range of leadership and management skills across five national level posts, each involving international representation. Irish Secretary of the Student Christian Movement and Youth Secretary of the British Council of Churches were both key ecumenical movement posts. At NCVO he headed the Youth Department, the National Organisations Division and was Deputy Director for Project Development. For a combined total of 21 years he was Chief Executive of the UK Volunteer Centre and the Abbeyfield Society.

In 2002 he started up Charitable Futures, a niche consultancy with the goal of helping charities find or rediscover their vision, to look ahead and to plan for the long term. Helping Boards, Chief Executives and senior staff develop strategic thinking is the focus of the work. Assignments have included vision and scenario development, mentoring and leadership support, organisational change advice and board performance improvement. More details are on www.charitablefutures.co.uk.
