I am currently looking after the Sussex Internship Programme which offers recent graduates (2008/2009) with 20 days of grant supported work based experience in the Sussex region.  It is a great scheme for getting unemployed or underemployed graduates on to the career ladder.  We have a number of charity based placements currently available for application and would be great to have any thoughts on how I can create awareness for this worthwhile scheme:  www.sussexinternships.co.uk

This sounds like the sort of scheme that could easily get airtime through local radio/ tv maybe holding up a previous graduate of the scheme as a example of the impact it can have on young peoples lives.  Another good option could be to partner with local music and youth led projects which could have a large number of your target audience. A alternative to this route is to connect with youth focused groups through Twitter such as youthnet and peopleandplanet which focuses on youth wellbeing and ask them to assist you in promoting your project.

Damien,  thanks for you suggestions which I will follow up.  The local press have been very helpful but with the elections etc. TV and radio is look unlikely but will keep trying.
