I am a Trustee for a recently formed charity. We have several dozen volunteer workers, and generate a large proportion of our income from the trading activities of a shop. We want to draw up financial procedures to cover all the main areas of the operation, such as ordering of goods, collection and recording of income, banking, monthly reconciliations, etc, and we wonder whether anyone can advise us whether there are any existing examples already documented that we might 'borrow' as a starting point for ourselves.
Thanks very much.
Hi johnnymac,
We have some useful information on the site looking at financial procedures. There's also a course on StudyZone on the essentials of charity finance that should be helpful.
Please do let us know how you get on.
Hi johnnymac,
have a look too at the trading and shops section which has a page on financial administration and management.
